ABOUT JMS RACING SERVICES |
JMS
Racing Services began operations in January of 1998. We are located in Marion, Iowa, just outside of Cedar
Rapids. Our main business is to provide
management expertise and contract service for triathlons (swim, bike, run),
duathlons (run, bike, run), road races, and other athletic sporting
events. We also provide computerized
scoring for races throughout Midwest United States.
JMS Racing Services is owned and operated by John
Snitko. John graduated from The
University of Iowa with a degree in business and a major in marketing. In Corporate America, John was in marketing
for a large equipment manufacturing company.
He has been involved with the sporting community for the past fifteen
years and has gained valuable experience along the way.
As a participant, he has completed road races and
triathlons with varying distances of up to a marathon and Ironman. John has worked as a volunteer for races in
different capacities throughout the surrounding area. From 1992 to 1998, John was co-owner of The Finish Line Company,
a business that promoted athletic events and provided computerized scoring for
races throughout the state of Iowa.
JMS Racing Services has fifteen years of event
planning experience in Corporate America and in the sporting community. Experience and a knowledge of marketing,
allows JMS Racing Services to provide a unique combination of attributes not
often found in this industry.
JMS Racing Services has been providing computerized
scoring of races throughout the Midwest for nearly ten years.
Equipment: JMS Racing Services uses
the best timing devices (Time Machines) and software (Runscore) available for
scoring a race. We bring the stringers,
tic sheets, bandit cards and chute opening cards. All you need is run numbers, pins and bike numbers for multi-sport
events.
Data Entry and Registration Reports: Data
entry of race application information can be done by JMS Racing Services or by
your designated computer person. We can
accept most PC based file formats for the transfer of data. Labels for race numbers and lists (numerical
and alphabetical) for packet pickup are also provided.
Results: Accurate and timely results
for awards and mailing, is one of the most important aspects of any road race
or multi-sport event. We usually
provide award results minutes after the last person finishes or sooner if you
want. In most cases, we are able to
post tentative results while the race is in progress. Final race results (one hard copy and a Microsoft Word file) for
mailing are provided within one week after the event. Results include the pace and five-part split times (swim or run,
first transition, bike, second transition, and run) for multi-sport
events. Labels are included and results
are posted on the Internet at “http://www.pigmantri.com/jmsracing”.
Other Services: JMS Racing Services can
produce, print and mail final results.
We also provide labels from our database at a moderate cost.
