First Annual Marion Arts Festival Half Marathon Fills Early Season Long Run Void!

We are sorry but registration has exceeded our 1,500 person limit and we are forced to shut down regisitration.  We were hoping that we could reopen the registration for more to get into the MAF Races but it appears that this will not happen. We are sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused.  We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your support.

 

The Marion Arts Festival 5K has been a favorite season opener for many serious amateurs, recreational runners and the casual walkers.  Filling a need for those wanting a longer more challenging early season race, we are proud to introduce the First Annual Marion Arts Festival Half Marathon.  Thanks to race sponsor, Benchmark, Inc., there will be $1,300 in prize money, as well as many free gifts, giveaways, and raffle drawings worth thousands of dollars.

The nationally recognized Marion Arts Festival (MAF) is a free, family friendly, come-as-you-are community art party…accessible high quality culture, for all. The MAF will once again feature a fun, competitive 5K to kick off the day’s festivities along with the new Half Marathon distance event. After the race, participants are invited to enjoy festival activities. The Art in the Depot public art program, Empty Bowl Project and Patron Sponsor Program are all offered in conjunction with the exhibiting artists.
