4,950 Cash Prize

A total of $4,950 will be divided amongst the overall winners. The top eight overall male and female winners and the fastest club will share in the total purse. See Prizes and Awards for more details.

$250 Cash Prize for Club Winners

Clubs consisting of a minimum of 5 individual finishers will race for a $250 cash prize.  Club members race as individuals and are also scored via cross-country style for their club.  See Prizes and Awards for more details.

Race Free Next Year

We are doing it again in 2012.  Win your age group and you also win a free entry into the next year’s Pigman Long Course Triathlon.  See Prizes and Awards for more details.

Time-Trial Swim Start Format

Elite athletes and teams will start in waves beginning at 7:30 a.m.  All other athletes will start in a Time-Trial format.  For the Time-Trial start, athletes will line up according to their respective age group wave (USA Triathlon age is based on your age as of 12/31/12). One person will start every 3 seconds by crossing over the chip timing mat on the beach before entering the water.  

Official Energy Drink

Hammer Nutrition remains the official energy drink (HEED) and the energy gel (Hammer Gel) provider for the Pigman Triathlons.

Finishers Certificate

Pigman Long Course Triathlon finishers will receive a certificate designed specifically for the Pigman Triathlon.  Finishers will also receive an individual print out of their finishing times on race day.

USA Triathlon Sanctioned Event

The Pigman Triathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.  More details can be found at www.usatriathlon.org.

Timing Method

The Pigman Triathlon will be chip timed using the new state-of-the-art AMB Timing System.
