Prize Money and Awards

Cash Awards

A total prize purse of $4,950 will be given out at the Pigman Long Course Triathlon. The overall top eight male and female finishers will receive a prize purse of $4,700. Elite, Age-group, Clydesdale and Athena participants are eligible for cash awards. Breakdown of cash awards for male and females are the same and will be as follows:

• 1st Place - $1200
• 2nd Place - $400
• 3rd Place - $250
• 4th Place - $150
• 5th Place - $125
• 6th Place - $100
• 7th Place - $75
• 8th Place - $50

The top Club in the Club competition will receive a $250 cash award.

Individual Awards

Pigman awards to at least the top three finishers in each age group (15-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+) category.

Pigman awards to at least the top three finishers of the Clydesdale and Athena division.

The amount of awards is determined by how many participants are in a particular division racing. Refer to past results to see how deep they were in other years.

Race Free

Win your age group and also win a free entry into next year’s Pigman Long Course Triathlon. The top Clydesdale and Athena along with the top male and female finisher in the 15-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+ age group categories will receive a free entry into the next year’s event. The elite division and the top eight overall male and female racers are not eligible to win free entries.

Free entries do not include the cost of the USA Triathlon one day insurance. It will be the responsibility of the winner to be an annual member or to pay this expense when they sign up the following year. The free entry cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be transferred to another person or another year.

Complete an entry form online to sign up for the free entry that was won the previous year. In the comments section of the online entry form add that you are an age group or Clydesdale/Athena winner from the past year. If necessary, mail check to cover $10 USA Triathlon one day insurance and or $5 if you upgrade to a technical shirt.
